Number of agents needed

For Remote User Monitoring, agents are deployed at each remote user workstation, so the number of agents = number of remote users monitored. For this plan, the number of agents is purchased as a package of 50 agents. Usually, only one agent is required per site. Agents are available in different types: software, virtual appliance, cloud, and hardware. Installing one agent per site provides a reference point from the perspective of that site. Additional agents can be temporarily added to segment the network and address issues. Extra agents beyond the minimum commitment are billed on an hourly basis.

Number of devices needed

The term 'Devices' refers to the network devices monitored via SNMP. It is possible to monitor all network devices, but monitoring a single device that aggregates all site traffic to the WAN can help detect 80% of site issues. Correlating metrics such as CPU and bandwidth from LAN devices with performance monitoring sessions passing through them helps identify whether the issue is within the LAN or with the service provider.

Number of users needed

Users refer to the number of individuals who can log in to the Obkio application and contact Obkio support, not the number of employees in the company.
